Well, someone like you probably still consider them strips. Not nearly as cool as the chain boxes you have crafted, but still cool for someone as humble and excitable as me!

Below it is the wave controller. These boxes sure made my life a lot easier. They are heavier duty and more for like workshops/power tool/outdoor use, but are fairly well suited for this use as well. The biggest difference I like is the longer cords. The normal power strips just weren't long enough to reach areas of the tanks. I have another one of these on the opposite side of the stand. So 20 outlets available, and easy as cake to keep proper drip loops from the in-tank stuff.

Thanks for the pics. I feel much better now.

FWIW, I've said it once, and I'll say it again to you. I'm happy to build those strips for anyone who would like. I'd do it for free. Materials run about $50 for the 12 outlet model I made. I could make them internally GFCI, which would cost a bit more, or like mine; which simply plugs into a GFCI receptacle.

They ain't pretty on the workbench:

But they're easy on the eyes when they're done! :)

Oh, I also want to post this picture:

No, not tank related. But this was taken earlier this week during a summer storm which knocked out my power 3 times, with the longest time being for about 30 minutes. I was actually pretty excited. Overflows, return pump, etc all functioned flawlessly. Never lost siphon, no excessive return into the tank, nothing. Just fires right back up, establishes level balance, and good as new each time. First power outages of the season, and now I get to sleep a little easier knowing at least there wont be a flood ;)

    Thats kool,mother nature showing off..
Are you running everything off the same plug, was wondering if one plug would handle the whole tank...one of my concerns when I get everything up and running.

As long as the "one plug" wasn't on a circuit that also serviced your kitchen or laundry room, you shouldn't be able to exceed the 15 amps of the typical home branch circuit.

Well, two plugs, one outlet. Haven't had any troubles at all. I could go to two separate outlets if needed, but so far, so good!
