what do you mean. i sit down and have a good weep if mine jump. :)
Yeah, i guess I might have an emotional moment too. : ) But my almost-three-year-old is an early morning riser and is always the first to see if anything is wrong with the tank. He's also more emotionally unstable than a Life Time Movie Network marathon! So when he has an emotional break-down, the whole house shakes!

I might. Not for a while though. I got a few other projects on this tank I want to get done first.
I switched to a 6700K bulb on my fuge and that seemed to really help things along down there, so I want to keep rolling with that first. A bigger list of macros is on the list for that. Also, my coil denitrator got clogged and I cant seem to get it going again. I think I am going to have to take it apart to clear out whatever is mucking up its insides.

How do you like the Gold head sleeper so far? I wanted to get rid of mine cuz he drops so much sand but my girlfriend won't let me . He has more personality than all the other fish together.

I like him a lot! He is still a little nervous though, so personality wise it just hasn't come much. I don't have much problems with sand on the coral. I have had to baste some sand off once, and its been a week now. But I baste all my rocks regardless once a week just as maintenance anyways, so its not any extra work.
But he sure is keeping the sand clean. It was getting to be quite the conundrum. My sand is extremely fine, so if I direct much flow at all down there I get a sandstorm. So it kind of has to be a dead spot down low. I would use a gravel rake and stir the top layer of it maybe once or twice a week to keep it looking good, but I haven't had to do it once since I got the goby. I will take the clean sand bed over having to blow some sand off the rocks any day ;)

I don't think the fish are jumping Pack, I think sacrificial damsel is banishing them to the dry world :dead:.I think he's jealous, check for a guilty look but don't stare into both eyes could be deadly. I bet he looks like this  .
Sorry for your losses but I fear there are more to come, you have a serial killer on your hands :worried:.

Well, got some more stuff coming from John over at Reef Cleaners. Have some more ceriths and a fighting conch coming for the DT. Then, I have some more nassarius snails coming, and those will be for the fuge. They should help keep the sand in order while leaving the macros alone. And speaking of macros, I have some cactus caulerpa, fire fern, mermaids shot glass, flame algae, and halimedia coming.

I REEEEEAAAAAALLLLY don't think you want to do that. Send Roger an e-mail and ask for his suggestions as to how to unclog it. If you open up that coil, the smell will be bad enough to gag a maggot and I'm not too sure that you'll be able to re-use it afterwards (not at all sure about that though). Are you using any type of filter bag on the inlet from the overflow (assuming you're running it on a siphon)?
