Yes, I did the "wall" out of acrylic on my smaller tank. They work well, but I would need 16 feet of "wall". I just couldn't bring myself to spend $80+ on eggcrate ;)

I used one sheet for my 55. I only needed a few inches height (I have about 4 inches between tank and light) so I was able to get the strips from one sheet. In the back, I went slightly higher (used the left over width). I bet you could get away with 2 maybe 3 sheets. Not really pressing it though, just sayin.

Well, it's been so long since I updated this thread, I had wondered if I even still had the tank! So here's some pics!

I will have to get in there and clean for pics. Some of the algae is doing great, while others not so good. I think the flow is too low for some of the macros. I am considering adding a small power head to it just for movement put not to affect contact time and trying it out for a little bit.

Got a new fishie today. A heniochus. I inherited two before and lost one. This is the first one to be purchased. I hope it goes well despite my track record with butterflies! So far so good. Scared me a little bit because it had a RAPID acclimation time. Got home, untied the bag, and clipped it to the tank ledge to float, and walked away. Came back 10 minutes later to a dislodged clip, bag stuck to powerhead, and henio cruising the tank. Ooops!
But all seems well. Cruising the tank, eating, and bothering the other fish in true henio fashion. This one seems very fond of sleeper goby.
