GREAT TANK BRO!!!!! I only hope I can get there some day. What is the pink flowering deal middle right of the tank? I think I have a little sprig of that in my tank but its not tight like that mine is about 2 1/2 inches tall and only one stalk with about 7-10 hands. Great tank again. Later 50JC

Again.....excellent pics. How big is your hippo? It looks like a tiny tot!!!! And your manderin is most excellent. I am still trying to see pods in my tank at night. No luck yet. I think I will have to reseed.

Thanks! Yeah my hippo is the second smallest fish in my tank next to the YT ;D I would say 2", maybe even a hair under.
Just set up a bucket like I did for the pods. I am harvesting mine every two weeks, they breed in there like its nobody's business ;)

So, today I got bored. So I worked on the tank a little, and decided to go to the LFS. Coincidentally, today also marks the day most of you will tell me to get my head checked ::)

Gone are my damsel's, finally, after tearing out most of the rockwork. Also unloaded some frags. Picked up to new additions for the tank while I was there.

First is a Copperband Butterfly. And yes, I do have a reef. This has been one of my all time favorite fish since I was a small child. After doing extensive research, I couldn't find a single person who has said "I put it in my reef and it ate corals". They do on occasion nip at featherdusters and other inverts. Mine has been in the tank for about 4 1/2 hours, and hasnt touched a thing, except for a couple of small aiptasia that I didn't even know I had. The cleaner shrimp has been chasing it around a bit, but the CB wasnt comfortable with a cleaning yet. Interesting enough, my clowns seem to be scared to death by the thing, even though it hasn't shown any aggression. And of course the pics:

That's beautiful. Very nice pics. Very nice fish. And it depends on the individual fish as well. Just keep it fed and it will most likely not search for food in it's own backyard. Congrats dude.

And the second addition: an electric flame scallop. Yes, I know they have poor survival rates. But its what I got and I figured I'd give it a try, as there has been some success with them. It will be feed phyto/rotifiers at LEAST once daily.

Wow....that is a healthy looking specimen. Just be careful. As you said, the survival rate is poor. I know your husbandry is excellent, so if it dies, it will not be from lack of care.

Thanks! And I already have a ton of phyto/enriched rotifers around for the Bucket O' Pods ;D I figured what they hay, I'll give it a shot. And I do have to say that scallop is one of the most beautiful and interesting creatures I have ever seen. The flashing display is simply amazing. And the CB is really cool. Very active, just going at the rocks non-stop. Adds the nice touch of something thats completely different in color and shape to my tank as well. At least for tonight ;) I am happy with the new additions
