Your CB is really pretty! I love the flame scallops too and had 3 a long time ago after the 55 was running for about a year. My lfs sold them to me and told me "just drop them in, they don't need anything special" yeah right....I didn't know about 3reef back then....:-/

Yeah, they have the LR tank set up like a display tank now. They had quite the school of chromies in with the shark too. It was a cool looking tank the way it was set up.

Well, first night through and all the corals are still intact! ;D ;)
The Copperband is really cool, and so far I am glad to have gone for him. He is a deep sleeper and takes a little to wake up lol. He's probably the most active fish in the tank, pecking at the rocks even more than the mandarin. It did cross my mind though that maybe he is eating pods? Wouldn't be the best of situations for them, but wouldn't be the worse. He's a trip to watch eat. He swims around really fast, then very slow and deliberately "snipes" pieces of mysis and brine with that long mouth. Totally cool. I will get some better pics today. Last nights were mediocre but I was just to excited to care :trampolin
The flame scallop is nowhere to be seen however, must have moved around during the night :-/. This worries me for two reasons. 1: if I don't know where it is I can't feed it, and 2: I can't observe it. I will do some serious searching in a few after the MH kicks on.

With the electric flame scallop mine always found it's way into nooks and crannies, but I was still able to try to feed it. When I did do a direct feeding it would always close up, no matter how lightly I would feed - I noticed if I placed low flow past it and indirectly fed it, then I could actually watch it feed, very cool. Mine survived a long time in an area of the tank in which I couldnt feed it. It would feed when I fed the corals and turned off the skimmer. GL and nice additions.

Those scallops are really neat looking. Good luck with them! I've always wanted to give them a try.

Those are really nice pics too

    *24 Hour Update*

Well, both new additions are doing well. Only time will tell with the scallop (which I have named Sparky). I was able to feed it a couple of times today, and its very cool to watch it feed.
The CBB is doing well. Has been a model citizen actually. Even allowed itself a slight cleaning from the shrimp today. I was worried about feeding, and had some clams on the half shell ready to go just in case, but there's been no need. That sucker just absolutely destroys mysis shrimp. He is however still real shy around feeding time, so I squirt some down to him while the others are distracted.

    And some pics:

    The two new additions:

And just for kicks a pic today of the mandarin:

Well the CBB has taken a turn for the worse. Hanging in one spot, breathing hard, colors off. I'm not holding out too much hope. Went and got some high quality sea food to target feed it to try to do the best nutritionally I can for it, but we will see. All params check out fine, so there's not much else I can do. :-/
