I likey tha fishy! The smarter a fish is, the weirder a fish is. Our blenny plays chicken with the wrasse...and sits on the powerheads and magfloat watching over the world. And our Coral Beauty is A-D-D.

    *New Bulbs!*

Got my bulbs in today, and finally got them installed and fired up. I went with UVL 420nm actinic's on the T5's and an SPS 14000k for the MH, per Roger's (Tangster) advice. All I can say is wow. WOW. What a difference good bulbs can make. And this is just visually, I can only imagine the difference it will make long-term with the corals. Colors are nice and bright. And the shimmer from the MH is unbelievable. Very, very happy right now ;D

I hope we're as happy as you are when we get our bulbs replaced in our T5 fixture.

Congrats on the bulbs! Now, where are the pics??? :D

Well, a few updates. Yesterday after work, went to check the tank (always the first thing I do), and my male clown looked very distressed. Oh no. Then I went really looking. The female was no where to be found. Double oh no. Well, it turned out the female worked her way inside the skimmer. Male was distressed cause he couldn't find his girlfriend. Once I found out what was going on, it was kinda neat. They obviously attach to one another on some form of basic emotional level. Neat.
But then it got bad again. My eyelash blenny had decided to become a jumper. No good there

But, I was finally able to get some more pics. The new bulbs have made such a difference that all my old camera settings no longer work, so I had to play a while. Still not quite up to par.

    Kenyas. These got pruned tonight.

Mushroom. This little sucker has really colored up with the bulb change.

Pulsating Pom Pom's. Doing great and growing steadily.

The clowns zoa patch. They are not doing so good. The clowns are finally starting to take their toll on them

The little coral abusers themselves. Can't tell by the pic, but the male was wiggling away at her when I took it

Nice pics! I really like your tank. My friend bought a Mandarin for his 29 gallon (I know...*yikes*) but I told him about your Bucket O' Pods trick, and it's working and working. I hope he didn't make a mistake by buying the little guy, but if I have to rescue him I'm sure I will :D :D

    *New Additions*

Just got back today from someone tearing down a tank (switching to FW). They wanted to get rid of some things to go to a good home. Arcain41 here gave me the heads up today, so big K+ to her. So everyone, once your done here, go hit that K+ button for her ;) It was also nice to meet with the people here on the forum and from RARS for the first time. Why is it that reefers are always good people? ;D
OK, and now to the pics:

SPS. If anyone wants to give me a 100% positive ID on these feel free, as I'm not too familiar with them.

Theres two more kinds, what I believe to be birdsnest and an encrusting, maybe monti? I'll get pics up when I get the chance

    Also, two clams:

And some shrooms. They are actually a lot more green in person:

Glad to help you out! I agree, we were just saying that reefers are always cool people ourselves. I enjoyed putting a face to the threads and jokes. I will post pics soon ourselves. You know we have SO much coral and rock to place. I am so happy. It was great to meet you and we are so pleased to join RARS!
