So where was Marlin while the barracuda was thrashing the familial unit? Off at work? At the bar? Was there another fish? Enquiring minds want to know.

Marlin went out to help coral, but was knocked out by the barracuda's tail. He woke up to find no coral and just the one egg (Nemo).

Yeah.....Those are nice. I have a few small ones in my tank. They are very hardy. It did take about three to four months for them to acclimate to my tank. They did not like my water quality for the longest time.

Well, today, for unforeseen circumstances, I had to move. I moved from Reno to neighboring Sparks. Of course the tank came with ;)
I moved everything I could using 5 gallon buckets. Fish in one bucket, corals in another, rock in a couple of others, torch in another, and another of just water. I was able to leave about 10 gallons of water in the tank as well, and tried to disturb the sand bed as little as possible.
During the transition I went ahead and added an additional 10lbs of prepared base rock. I also changed the background to black. Aquascaping has changed also. I am actually happier with it now.
Everything has been up and running for about 3 hours now. The params checked out at:
    ammonia:0
    Nitrite:0
    Nitrate:0
    PH:8.2
    Temp:77
I have not gotten a chance to check everything else yet. Most of the tank inhabitants seem ok, but I did lose a hermit, and possibly one of my turbo's in the move (haven't been able to find it). All of the fish even ate, so I will take it as a good sign. I was awful worried, I know the temp of the water in the buckets got a little low, as it's been so cold here. Also, my skimmer is now producing a large amount of micro bubbles. I am hoping that will have settled down by tomorrow. If not I will try a few things to tame that down. The most frustrating part was finally having captured the elusive damselfish and not having the time to stop by the LFS
I have not gotten a chance for pics yet, but will probably have some up by tomorrow.

You are likely in the clear, but will know for sure tomorrow morning. Hopefully, the tank gods will be with you and you will have avoided the dreaded mini-cycle.

Thanks. I hope all will be well. Thankfully, even if I do have a mini, most everything in my tank is fairly hardy.
As an update, I found the other turbo. So only possible loss is a hermit. Not too terrible for a rush move of a whole reef tank.
Also, my clowns have staked out their exact same corner. That really interests me. The rockwork is COMPLETELY different, yet they still somehow remember "their corner". Everyone else seems to have new territories.
