Well here goes........

Got the go ahead for an upgrade!!!!!!!!!!;D
Currently I have a 55t mixed reef. It's been going for about 15yrs. on and off. Since we bought our house I had plans to separate the kitchen and dining room with a tank but other money-pits always shot down the tank idea. So a coulple months back I shot the idea by the wife and to my suprise she said show me a propsal... She didn't have to tell me twice. So for the past two months I've been here lurking seeing what everybody else is doing.....
So here's what i came up with.....

180(72x24x24) three sided starfire euro-braced built by Cadlight. Should be done this week or next.
I'm also going with their 1350 skimmer and bio reactor.
lighting will be 4 AI sol's
For return I'm going with a Reeflo snapper hybrid
For circulation just one mp40 then probably get another later on.
For the sump I'm gonna build it from a 50 gal tank. Actually in progress just waiting to get the skimmer so I can finish it up.
Also the 6 stage deluxe RO/DI With the 150gpd upgrade( to cut down on waste water) and 100lbs of reef saver from BRS.
I built the stand (pics to follow)
As soon as more stuff comes in I'll post up more pics.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated .

Tank is gonna look sweet there separating the rooms like that! The stand looks great, can't wait to see it come along

 

Heck yeah....looking sweet, off to a great start. Especially with the significant others approval... What ya thinking for livestock?

I'm not sure, All I've kept is Fish and softies, But I would love to keep SPS one day....... I have to do(alot;D) more research on that.

Skimmer and Bio Reactor from CADlight.
ran the skimmer in freshwater for a while and it's nice and quiet.

 

Also got quite a bit done on the sump.
