How did you get your star polyps to grow on the glass? I love that look.

People will cheat by gluing it on the back glass. I just placed the rock that had it on it and it continued onto the glass. What you see on the glass, is what has grown in a year.

What you see on the overflow is what has grown since my last fragging.

I like the idea of dark background, but didn't want to go solid black. I wanted a REALLY DARK blue. After testing a few I used Behr/Disney/Buzz Lightyear Space Hero Blue from Home Depot. It is so close to back, but you can see the blue in it.

You may want to get a few samples and try them out on your tank before you commit one way or the other. It comes off easily enough.

edit: You also want the paint to dry completely before deciding if you like it.

that gsp on the back glass looks sick!! ha-ha, back to the subject though, you can always fill up your tank with just sink water and try different colored backs to see which you prever. i prefer black because it gives everything else more color imo.

Thank you all for your opinions. I really appreciate them. I am thinking I will go with black and try to get my GSP to grow on the glass.

I've been thinking about doing a black to blue fade from bottom to top when I get around to building a system. I think you should try this out and take some pictures so I'll know if it looks cool or not. ;D;D;D
