paly is sticking out its tongue?

    there is something coming out from the mouth of one of my palythoas? Its like a long, stringy tongue and is brownish. What is this and does it have anything to do with water flow?

    I don't think it has anything to do with your flow Crusty. What you are most likely seeing is either waste, or the coral is replacing those strains of zooxanthellae for better ones. How you can tell the difference is beyond me :)

    cool. they all seemed to do this. every head was spewing this stuff out?

    Yeah +1 to Tom, you might see the whole colony doing it at once. Unless you see drastic changes in color (like bleaching) or they stop opening it's probably just a natural process.
