Reason why i said a lot, there not all that big, and mostly used for accent actinincs with MH, t5, etc. LFS has 2 on a nano that like 5 gallons and all thats in there are shrooms and some lps, mind you the color POPS like a mother trucker. I mean look at them, its a glorified rope light... and for 100 bux per modual, that will add up quick.

Rapid kit looks like the best bet imo if your mind is set on LEDs.

Yeah the magenta looks awesome! I've been eye-balling the rapid led biocube 29 dimmable retrofit. It's not to bad on the money side but I probably wouldn't upgrade until September since its more of a "want" than a "need" thing. Im setting up a planted tank after my biocube so I won't have the $$$. But trust me, it'll happen!!!

Yeah, not the biocube, just a regular 29. Your friend has one on a planted tank?

this is not entirely correct. these fixture are entirely capable of sps. i would use the pro module with the remote to change the color. as they are near 20 watts instead of 12. i would do 2 or 3 over your nano and you could easily grow anything i would guess. that is 60 watts of high powered led's.

i have one over my 5 gallon nano and it is about a foot above it and i can grow anything under the sun in that tank.

yeah 3 definitely. the lighting is great too. you may want 2 all white and one actinic or just three mixture fixtures. or of course the color changing ones which would be the b est to go with.

I just contacted ecoxotic and they said that 1x 12k white/445nm blue
And 1x 445nm/magenta is enough for SPS!!!! 2 modules!
