I run two Seaclones, 150 and 100, that are stock with no modifications except that I shortned the airtube and removed the sponge filter on the venturi basket. They both took about two months to break in and they produce a very good dark and wet skimmate with no microbubbles.

I only have to do minor adjustments when I clean the venturi basket. Couldn't be happier and the best bang for the buck I've ever gotten in this hobby.

I had micro bubbles till the skimmer broke in.now no matter where i have it set i have no bubbles. One thing i have noticed is,no matter how clean my hands and arms are when i put my hands into the tank it causes micro bubbles from the skimmer for 2-3 hours and i always rinse my hands and arms with hot water and dry them with a clean dry towel.

    Seaclone update:

I forgot my previous password on my Scotty4now account anyways. The panty house actually killed 70% of the micro bubbles. I updated the air intake again, took off the sponge filter around the pump and within 5 min of doing this and a few minor adjustments to the air intake . Beautiful gunky green water in the skimmer basket

I got a 2004 and run it dead stock and it works fine. I second john about the bubble after the arms in tank. Hey craig you have not had any problem with the pump been jammed up with out the sponge? I might try it.

Now, if you really want to get it to rock get an airpump and run a wooden airstone down through the opening and you will get GREAT skimming from the alleged POS Seaclone.
