    These sockets are all designed to be connected to at least 15 amp household wiring - not that any bulb is made that could draw 15 amps (1800 watts). Taking into account the 3 or 4 hundred watt incandescent bulb you might screw into one of these sockets (if you could find them these days), you'll never get close to any problems with an LED bulb.

    That is what most are rated for, yes. It is called an E27 socket.
