Hey guys, just wanted to post that we took some par readings of our LED's vs metal halide over the weekend. To say I am impressed would be an understatement. At every level the LED was almost double that of the metal halide. The metal halide is a 250w. Here are the numbers.

Depth: Type of lighting: Metal Halide
    light to surface (15"): peak-400 avg-350
just under surface of water: peak-91 avg-80
    12" under water: peak-87 avg-80
    bottom of 55 gallon tank (19"): peak-47 avg-40

    Depth: Type of lighting: LED
    light to surface (15"): peak-700 avg-600
just under surface of water: peak-380 avg-375
    12" under water: peak-250 avg-200
    bottom of 55 gallon tank (19"): peak-175 avg-165

what are the dimensions of the 150 you are looking at? we 2 of them on our frag tank that is 48"x24" and is pretty much perfect.
