Par30 vs. Par38

    I have a 60 degree par30 from boost over my tank. its percfect. You will be more than please with these. My friend has a pair over his 20 gallon high.

    dude why are you insisting on the par38? the par30 will do just as good a job over your tank for a fraction of the price! you could buy like 3 frags of coral with that money saved. its unnecessary to get the par38 when a par30 will perform just as well over your tank

    well with these guys its a mere 10-15$ less, why not just spend that? but i really need to know what else i need to buy.

    the light just pulegs in like a normal light bulb. so just head over to home depot and find a clip on lamp or something of the sort to use.

    all you need is a fixture to put it in. Its like any normal lightbulb but you need to be aware that you cannot cover the heatsink so that limits your options a bit, i think in your other thread i linked to the architect fixture i'm using, the cone comes off on that one so it was cake setting it up. Some people also use a regular clamp light from homedepot, the cone on that comes right off too. You can get a creative as you want with fixtures to screw this into just be aware of the heatsink and try not to cover it so you protect your investment :)

    oh well earlier you were saying 120 compared to a 65 dollar par30, yeah gor for it thats not much of a price difference at all and they have two more led's i was just misinformed you had a supplier that gave em to you cheap

    my bad bro, you have no idea how much you've helped me today lol its funny how the 38s are like 30$ cheaper but the 30s are 20$ more expensive
