i have a forty gallon salt tank that has been running but i havent really added stuff, im usually doing stuff with my other forty 90 or 16 gallon nano. anyways i am going to starrt this one up in a reef and am wanting to do led's. i am looking into these par38 leds how many would i need for a standard 40 gallon tank? i am mostly interested in these because of the fairly good price

3 would suffice. as for mounting you could suspend them with track light fixtures but be sure not to use any reflectors on them as they need to be able to release the heat from the heat sink with out gettin trapped in the dome/reflector which could case damage the LEDs, Drivers, and could reduce the efficiency and life of the bulbs.
