I do not think all Amphipods are created equal.

Last year they first took a liking to my zoanthids, I thought they were just eating dying tissue or something. Next you know they munched my Blast and my Micromusa. Needless to say this did not make me happy in the least.

Oh and moved to ----- Inverts, it was a toss up with ID, but clearly not a "disease".

In trying to maintain better water quality I stopped throwing a little extra to my pods. I could care less if they live or die. I was adding extra food just for them to eat. I have yet to see them eating my acans and ill rid them all if I do see it LOL

Ye, there are species that are highly carnivorous and I wouldn't be surprised if there's some that eat coral. One of those organisms that has a species adapted to virtually every condition. I have yet to see it though and I have a huge population of grammaridean amphipods and a bunch of unknown tiny inverts from wild algae chunks in my refugium.

You can never have to many. The way I see it, the more you have, the more mandarins you can put in your tank.

I wish I had more PODs. Ever since adding my wrasse I hardly ever see them anymore. Have to look really long and hard to find a few crawling around
