So ive been treating my oscar for Hole in the head for the last week with jungle hole in the hear treatment. Today im looking in my tank and see these little worm like creatures wiggling around, id love to take a picture but they are so small there is no way you can see them on the camera. They are very small, about a cm long or smaller and white. What would you do?

i would treat with aqua-sol, in other words copper sulfate. it will kill anything and everything. i had an issue with insect larvae living in my tank when i had my oscars and this took care of it in less than a day with no adverse affects on the fish. it can kill inverts though. this product only cost me 4 dollars and treats 400 gallons. hope this helps!

Yes it does thank you. I did a little more research on the net and kinda came up with the same conclusion. Also called the LFS and they said we were the 15 person to call in the past few months about the same worm type creatures, all in oscar tanks. She said they went away after a month or so but did not know what they were

Let's talk parasites. Worms. Lice. Ameobas. Creepy crawlies, slitheries, food borne, water borne, and those you can get from touching strangers on their naughty bits. The ones in your guts, the ones in your muscles, the ones in your hair and the ones in your crotch.

What do you know about them? How can you catch them? How can you KEEP from catching them? What are the dangers and life cycles? How do you treat them with modern medicine? How did primitive folks deal with them? What can I do to keep clean and healthy and critter free in the PAW and now!

This is a big topic, folks, but don't be scared! Somebody pick their favorite parasite and get to learnin' us! If a person comes up with a good template, post it so we can get this crap organized. You know it's not just gonna be zombies trying to eat us when the lights switch off for the last time. Get to posting!! Post links to ZS threads, links to wikipedia articles, links to WebMD, your own experience, details from your own schoolin', or even your own humble opinions on the topic.

    I anxiously await...
