I noticed to a bunch of small red/white worms living under some of my rocks. They were eating excess food that had fallen aside. I was just wondering what these little buggers were and if they were harmful (possibly parasites?), I tried to get a picture but couldn't.

Sound like bristle worms, a part of your clean up crew. Generally not a problem.

If it looks like this, then its a bristleworm.
