    Hey All,

I thought I would start this post as a way to introduce myself. I'm working on getting my 265 set-up but it's been a slow process. I have been gathering parts etc for the past nine months or so. Well this would be boring without pictures!

    Tank - 265

Stand - I have been waiting on this for the better part of 10 weeks now, they promise me they should be done any day now.

Water Mixing Station: Still need to make some changes to this

I don't have pictures of the rest of the equipment but it's as follows:

    Lighting - 3x400w HQI 14k
    - HOT5 Actinic
    Skimmer - ATI BM250
    Return Pump - Dart
    Closed Loop - Dart x 2ea
    Calc Reator - PM

Well that's the basics, I hope to have it wet by X-mas..

Welcome to 3reef, glad to see another 265g.

For the pump I would certainly get at least a HammerHead instead of a Dart. You will be real suprised how little water movement you will get out of the Little Giant in such a large tank. I had 4 running and swapped them out for 2 HammerHeads and still think I need a little more flow but that is just me.

Keep us updated on the build. Hope you put back a good budget because once you step passed the 180g mark, things change and that change cost a little extra money. ;)

Thanks for the tip on the Hammer heads.. If all else fails I'll keep the Little Giant as my return and step up to a bigger closed loop pump as I don't want that much flow through my sump.

I'm well aware of what it's going to cost and planned accordingly ;)

It's been some time since I have updated this thread.

Here's how the stand and tank turned out, I had a bit of a mishap with the tank pictured. I have since gotten rid of that tank and am now waiting on the new one to be delivered.

What size you going with now ? and I assume the sump and mechanicals will be located remotely ?

I'm going with the same sized tank - 265

All the mechanicals will be located under the tank, the cabinets in front of the tank are a shell.
