My tank's been up for 3 mo now and I seem to have a lot of particles floating around. You can see them is this video: , especially around the 1:30 or so mark.

It's a 50g tank, 0,0,0 on amm, nitrite and nitrates. I have an old wet/dry (no bio balls) style sump, 500gph pump with a bonded blue/white filter. I do pwc's every week anywhere between 5 + 10 gallons and use RO water.

Is this something that just filters out over time or do I need to get a lower micron filter or is this something else?

    Thanks

completely normal, clowns like to stir up the sand with their tails every now and then. are you running carbon at all? it would help polish the water a little more, but you're still going to have some particles. your tank looks good!

    thanks -

The fish aren't too bad on making messes, the hermits seem to be the main source. Just running mech. at this time.

I have skimmer, but it's not online yet. I "inherited" the tank and stand from someone who had it sitting in their garage for 10 or so years and I had to rehab it. It didn't dawn on me the space I would need in the stand until after I got it all setup.
So, I'm going to have to get creative and build a new custom sump to make the skimmer fit comfortably.
