Pastey's 200DD--SPS v. 3.0

Got the drain and return standpipes built and cemented in place last night. Only thing left is to reinstall the sump and all the plumbing which I will do tonight. Only thing left will be to fill it up and find all my mistakes

 

I was trying to figure out a float indicator for my storage tanks, but this sight glass is pure genius. Mind if I copy? ;D;D;D

 

I'll do you one better. Ill tell you what I would have done differently.

1. Choose your fittings FIRST. Then choose the appropriate hose. I wound up having to spend $8 to ship a $0.75 fitting because I could only find 3 locally.

2. Put something small and dark on the hose that floats. A small ball or something. I plan on doing this so I can see the level at a glance from across the garage without having to walk over to it.

Test it completely full for leaks. I had 2 small ones that were easy to fix but would have been a pain the barrels were in their final spots.

Man, when I grew up in alabama, I thought so much about catching trout and other cold water stuff. Now that I live in Oregon and flyfish some of the most beautiful waters in the world, all I can think about is Bass fishin.
