Thanks guys (and girls). I'm pretty excited about them. I had hoped to add a harem of anthias but stock has been pretty weak and information discouraging.

Hey strangers!! I've been away from a bit but the tank is still doing well. Since my last post, I've added some new livestock and equipment. Added a red headed Solon fairy wrasse and a green haddoni anemone. Equipment-wise, I added an Apex AFS and a Reefbreeders Photon 48. I need one more Photon 48 but my corals aren't overly demanding yet so I can get away with it.

    In DT:

I actually had to pull the haddoni after a few days because it was showing signs of infection. It has made it 6 out of 7 days of antibiotic treatment and has made a great turn-around.

Stuff in the works would be that I'm hunting for another haddoni (blue). I'm shopping to up my CuC and I'm researching reactors to add to the system. That's all for now. I'll try to keep updating more often....I just wish I could access this forum from work. Stupid firewall....

Are you using the cup to conserve a folded shape? Or to stop it being blown around? (or both?)

    Ahhh the old cup trick.

Nice nice carpet. Did you use Cipro?

Actually the cup is there to give the anemone some structure or variation of surface if it goes wandering. It can help promote "security" for the anemone without having substrate or rocks. It spent the first few days of treatment on the other side attached where the bottom glass met the side. Not sure what sent it traveling but I like to think the coffee mug helped stop it.

Yes ma'am. eBay stuff too. Worked pretty well thus far I know there are some that think haddonis are less receptive to cipro treatments but it worked like a champ for me.

beautiful anemone! Glad to see you posting. I'm surprised about the firewall - mine is pretty intense and I can access 3reef :)

I can access RC and one of our local boards but 3reef and our other local forum are a no-go. I hate that because I don't do much computer related away from work. Either way, I'll make more effort!

Cipro treatment has ended for the nem. He'll spend the next 3 days in the treatment tank getting 50% water changes from the DT to make sure the treatment was thorough and not merely suppressing the infection but this also acclimates the anemone to water conditions in the DT making the transfer less stressful.

5 gallon (50%) water change from the DT with no ill effect so far. I made sure to check on it periodically throughout the evening but all is well. I moved the powerhead up a little for more water surface agitation and I think it sent more flow directly onto the anemone because it has moved back to the coffee cup.

Introduced the haddoni back to the DT on Friday and it has shown no more signs of illness or weakness. Some time last night, however, one of my pyramid butterflies fell victim so it got a very expensive meal.
