    Small update (no pictures...yet):

Ordered inTank media basket along with some Purigen and Chemipure Elite. I expect it to arrive early next week so I'll be sure to include some pictures before installing it.

Also ordered a custom clean up crew thanks to Reef Cleaners.
    As follows:
    30 dwarf ceriths
    12 nassarius
    12 Florida ceriths
    9 blue leg hermits
    4 large nerites
    7 small-medium nerites

I don't expect these to ship until Monday since it could potentially run interference with the weekend. Expect a "what are these white things on my glass/rocks?" ID thread ;)

I've been trying to soure a pristine RBTA locally but I'm sort of coming up blank. I've got 2 more LFS to try out before I broaden my search. I'm really looking for something a little more on the rare side so my expectations are high.

For filtration, I'm currently using stock media in the basket except for the first chamber which I have been using activated carbon. I added rubble to the bottom of the 2nd chamber. Lastly is the stock sponge (read: nitrate trap) that "filters" the water as it leaves the 2nd chamber and enters the 3rd (return chamber).

I plan on running filter floss, purigen and chemipure elite in the media basket (top to bottom, respectively). I want to do away with the crappy sponge that lies between the 2nd and 3rd chambers. I'm hoping the filter floss does a better job at catching detritus because that sponge doesn't do squat.

Here is a FTS from a couple of days ago just to document the slight change in 'scape.

Also, this is a video I shot a few weeks ago. My black occ. HATES my Mag-Float. I find it hysterical since some people have said that their clowns treat their mag-floats as a host.

Maybe put chaeto underneath the floss? I'm not sure where else you could really put it unless you got a big enough ball to wedge in between walls. You might need another source of light for it as well so keep that in mind.

Picked up a nice acan frag with ~7 polyps last night. After a FW dip, I put it in the DT under the actinics. After about 30 min. or so, the polyps began extending and stayed that way the rest of the night and this morning. No pictures until this afternoon, though. I'll do a big update since my inTank media basket is due this afternoon as well.

    The whole order
    [IMG]
Chemipure Elite, Purigen, some new filter floss and refractometer calibration fluid

Over, the quility of the media basket is very nice. Great quality and fitment. I had to tweak the basket placement to not stop up the flow.
