Well the move was a success(for the tank and everything else). Getting all the fish out was stressful....I can't imagine what its like for them. I'm completely exhausted. I think we got 12 hours of sleep this weekend which left 30 something hours of packing/unpacking, loading/unloading with an occasional meal stuck somewhere in the middle. Of course, gas wasn't turned on yet and I didn't appreciate the fact that we have a gas water heater. Needless to say, a cold shower after a long day of moving isn't fulfilling. It's sad when you look forward to work because it means you get a break ;)

I rescaped the tank simply b/c I don't think there was any way I was going to recreate my original and it ended up better than before. I'm very pleased and this scape will allow more space for coral both vertical and horizontal. There is less rock in the sand which means there SHOULD be more flow around the tank and less dead spots. I have no side shots right now but I'm going to break out the DSLR today or tomorrow for some proper shots.

The living room (this room is huge.....it makes my tank look like a 5gal. bucket):

It's really hard to see but in these pictures but there are multiple arches branching from the rock that has the leather. I love arches....no idea why.

After a day for everyone to "calm down", I fed. All fish ate well.

I have two potential woes, though.

    1. My acans don't seem to be inflating and getting the feeder tentacles out. They may just be acclimating to the new spot and lighting so I'm not really going to stress over it for a few days. If the situation doesn't improve, I'll adjust their position further down the tank.

    2. My candy canes have "something" on them. I didn't think much of it but it seems that it is propogating. Not quickly but it is. A couple of peices even had a bubble on them which leads me to believe it is not a good thing. I will take a better picture tonight if I get to it.

Secured some Zoas from a local for a nice price. Picking up (2) Darth Maul polyps and (1)Blue hornet.

    Thanks!

Slight update on the acans--I moved them to the lower 1/4 of the tank and saw an immediate improvement. I guess I just had them too close to the top which I didn't think I was going to matter since my lighting isn't an overly powerful LED. Goes to show how much I need to learn. All that means is that I now have a prime real estate spot for SPS....now to choose what kind. :)

I think I'm going to add an extra polyp of blue hornet to what I'm picking up on Sunday. The deal is just too good compared to what they cost retail. I have not decided where to place these yet.

Question--What is a good dip for zoas? Revive? Coral rX? I need to do something more than freshwater like I've been doing. I've been lucky thus far and do not want to keep pushing my luck.

I couldn't get a picture of the blue hornet zoas....I simply can't get a proper picture for some reason.
