Not much in the way of winter weather here in Baton Rouge, La. I love cold and snow but I live in an area that doesn't see much of either. Thanks for the kind words. I hate to tear down the tank for the move. I really like the scape and I know getting it back to where it was is almost impossible.

Better to tear down a 28 gallon than 100. You're right it will never look the same and that is a shame. I have hauled my 28 all over, at least they move very well and are structurally stable.

Maybe do something different this time like BB, leave more open areas. Not a lot you can do to a 28 gallon.

I was just going to transfer all the rock back in. I'm going to swap in some fresh substrate and give the whole tank a big cleaning. Scrape all the coralline off the back panel, etc. Once I upgrade, I may use the 28 for something special but there is no telling. G/f is already up in arms about me setting up one of my spare 10 gallons for the Picasso clowns.

Pair of Picasso clowns I'm picking up next week. Couldn't pass on the deal. Set up a very basic bare bottom 10g to hold them for the time being.

Picked up the Picasso clowns this morning and got them home for acclimation which is nearly complete.

Good looking pair. Judging by size, it looks like the female has already been decided. They certainly do not leave each others sides. I'm pretty excited and I hope these 2 can bring me head first into my breeding project.

Coralline, maybe I'll be able be curb that jealousy by selling you some babies if I'm able to raise some fry in the future :)

    They are my dream clowns.

Good luck to you if you go down that road. There is tons of good information now a days.

I've been studying the entire process and following a lot of people through their journey. Finally felt like I knew enough to give it a try. I don't think these 2 are sexually active yet judging by their size so ill be waiting for them to mature. In the process, ill be upgrading my main DT right after moving which will be later this month. My ultimate goal is to try breeding other species but I wanted to get my feet wet with a species that was tried and true. When I get a few min., I'm going to start a thread to notate the progress this pair makes.

    Some updates:

I lost the female Picasso for reasons unknown. One day they're both eating and active, the next morning, female is gone and the male is fine. Zero clues. As a precaution, I moved the male into my DT which is now holding 3 clowns, 1 firefish, 1 YWG, and one possum wrasse. As you'd expect, the 2 resident clowns didn't take kindly so I've had to set up a drilled container inside the tank to keep him separated. This, of course, is temporary but at least he's eating and staying healthy.

Due to close next week (Wednesday or Thursday) on the new home. It's been a slow moving train with my mortgage broker taking what seemed like too long to submit our app but then the lender was backed up 11 days so we've been sweating bullets.

In upgrade news, I have half-heartedly agreed to buy a used Marineland 200dd, Marineland stand/canopy, DIY LED, trigger system elite sump, skimmer (that I will replace). I can't/won't buy or pick up anything until after the move is said and done but its very close to what I want. In the meantime, I've got some new TE Reeflakes to put in the 29 when I tear it down for the move.
