Rather then moving him yesterday from the DT I moved all of the inverts out. then started dropping the salinity.

he is acting very strange. staying in one spot teetering on the bottom almost like bouncing up and down. his breathing is normal, and I have seen him eat some sheet algae, hjis back fins have remained up. he was covered in ich yesterday, not so much today, (I know life cycle of ich) I am just not sure if this is ich behavior or something else going on.

My foxface will go over to him and freeze close to him and stay there for a while. but swims away. Also my exquisite fairy wrasse is being a bully to everyone all of a sudden darting around the tank with his fins up not sure if its related.

Considering his condition, it doesn't sound like unusual behavior. A better diagnosis may be determined in this scenario if accompanied with a video of the behavior. The first thing that comes to mind (if breathing wasn't normal) would have been oxygen. I've definitely encountered similar behavior when oxygen levels were low.

I walked up to the tank and scared him so now I couldnt take a video I will see if he lets me later

I have the tank lids off and a koralia faced directly to the water plus the skimmer running for some extra surface agitation? anyway to get some more oxygen to them?

I thought hyposalinity made it easier for them to breath?

I am almost really thinking it has to do with swim bladder or something not related to the ich, because he basically sunk when he saw be and has been bobbing up and down at the bottom for the last 2 days. He sometimes leans to one side but not much and he doesnt look to be breathing overly rapidly unless im near the tank.

Its fun playing like ninja spy just to look at your fish :)

Surface agitation is more important than just moving the water around in the tank. Without it, moving the water around without providing adequate oxygen is a moot point. I would suggest the powerhead agitating the surface if you only have the two items listed, but this isn't really the matter in question.

The only experience I've had with a swim bladder had the opposite effect. It greatly increased his buoyancy, as result, the fish had great troubles staying submerged. To the point that he would wedge himself underneath a rock just to stay submerged.

there is a lot of surface agitation, it looks like whirlpool at the top lol

that power head always faces up at the surface thought, there are other powerheads in the tank too.

Im sitting staring at the tank and it seems like he cant swim up ward again, but was higher this morning in the tank

it is like he tries to but falls back down. Im going to see if I can get a video.
