I just upgraded to 130 watt pc lights, 10K,420 nm actinic. YES this is a upgrade for me, i had regular t-8 light stips that come with every tank, i just upgraded the bulbs.so i have my rock work built up pretty high and then it levels out. my ? is are there any corals i can keep under this light, im only looking for 2-3 corals to place on top. they wouldnt be more than 7-10 " below the surface,10-12" from the light itself. i could place them higher if needed. so any ideas or suggestions about a coral that will live under 130WATT pc please respond. the corals i have on my signature hitched in on my LR during the cycle 6 months ago. i dont count those as they have mysteriously survived all the ups and downs of a maturing tank. i also think the low light for the first 6 months helped keep ugly algae undercontrol.

I had the same set-up in a 45g high tank and I had zoo's, mushrooms, candy coral, flower pot coral, ricordias, yellow polps you might even get away with xenias if you place them really high.

Loads of options for really nice looking corals as luna states...I have Sarcophytons, Frogspawn and Kenya trees doing well in a low light environment.

    Have fun.

    t5's will give more options
    mh's will give the most
combination of mh and t5 is the best of both

not all corals need super bright conditions, like some stated above some actualy need lower light conditions.
