i have power compacts 48" lights that are really good for my 55 gallon tank and even support a green carpet, and has been for a long time, um i found a 125 gallon tank, its 6 feet long 20" wide and like 22 inches tall, if i put all my live rock and corals withing 4 feet in the middle of the tank and towards the back where my lights would be, would the lights support whats under them, i jsut would put live rock on the foot to the right and the foot to the left

    Ummm

Hard to say without knowing pc's wattage.

But if was "really good" for your 55, probably going to be barely adequate, if that, for 125.

umm, yea......i would get all new lights. im guessing 260 watts PC, thats not nearly half enough........considering depth of that tank. I would go T5 or halide........

Why waste your time and money on a 6 foot tank only to use 4 feet.

I agree with the others, 22" is too deep for pc's. Im not even sure if T5 would do the trick. If its in your budget, I would get Mh's.

well i just found a mh on craigs list, only like 1, and it was 230 watts, what if i put the 48" all the way to one side and the mh for the remaining 2 feet?
