Wonderful. I'm glad you were able to get it worked out.

Congrats on the new fish as well. Interesting tank dimensions.

Its like a Nemo story, except it isn't a clown fish.. And um.. Yeah never mind.
Beautiful fish though! Love the tank.

    Sad News!
The above Tilefish managed to jump through the 1/2" mesh screen top while I was at work! I was going to replace that mesh with 1/4", but truly didn't think is was a rush as these Tilefish are like 3/4"+ thick and I did not believe they could possible get through it!

Most everyone I've heard from regarding these fish had lost one to jumping and I was determined not to be one of them... The screen was well secured to the top with Velcro with no gaps or holes whatsoever, I just cannot believe he made it through!!

Its secured now with extra screen until I re-screen the frame today with 1/4" mesh.
All the years I have kept FW and now SW, I have never lost a fish to jumping!

Still bummed today, but not as bad as yesterday. Lesson learned, again.... don't assume nothing in this hobby!

On a better note, I bought two more Purple Tiles a few days before at my LFS, they will be in QT for another 3+ weeks before they get paroled to DT. I will post pics of the trio at that time.
    Thanks!

Sorry to hear that :( Good luck with the new ones, though.

I am sorry for your loss! It is amazing how these fish manage to find the smallist opening and get out!

As far as the fins getting caught in their gills, I have seen in quite a few times with puffers. The first time I saw it was with Goldie my golden puffer. Freaked me out. I then have seen it on my mothers dogface and a couple others at the store. Never quite understood why it would happen, they never puffed or anything to cause it. But they have always been able to get them out themself.
