    I just bought a second marineland power filter penguin 100 with bio wheel and its not working, what's are my chances of getting two duds in one day?

    Don't ask those questions, you will ensure the next on is a dud, too.

    Pretty rare.

    Penguins are pretty bullet proof...I run several and have never had one fail. What is it not doing??

    Its not pumping any water, I already tested the outlet and its getting power

    Did you pour some water into it after you plugged it in--you have to prime it.

    x2. The impeller housing has to have water in it in order to build suction.

    Nope, I also have a 150 that's works fine so I know how they work. I'm guessing this one must be the manufactures fault
