    hi
i`ve just bought aiptasia-x to get rid of a couple of big aiptasia in my 24gal nano.

i am also planning on getting a peppermint shrimp to hopefully eat the little ones and stop them from coming back.

my question is if i get a peppermint now can i add a cleaner shrimp in a couple of weeks ? if not can i get 2 peppermints instead ?

    thanks

You can get all three if you want... at the same time even. These shrimp play nice together.

i have heard of people having some probs with peppermints and cleaners together, but as long as both are fed and the peppermint has plenty of hiding places you will be fine. i have 1 of each with no problems. plus, peppermints are nocturnal, so if you want a shrimp you can watch, get a cleaner as well.

Out of the three main reef species of shrimp, you will be able to see the Skunk Cleaner Shrimp the most followed by the Fire and then the Peppermint Shrimp. All three species are ideal and can be added interchangeably, especially in a larger tank with numerous hidding places and food!

i have heard that fire and skunk don't always play nice. But that is what it is like with most salt water species, some times they play nice and some times they don't
