Im very close to the end of my cycle and have about .2 ammonia left. I have aiptasia and would like to get a jump on getting them eaten. Will a Pep. shrimp be ok in very low ammonia for a day or two as it recedes??

Just be sure that they are true peppermints(Lysmata wurdemanni). Lysmata rathbunae look nearly identical but they will not eat/kill/destroy aiptasia.
Also, from what I have read the propensity to seek out aiptasia varies even among identical specimens of Lysmata wurdemanni. If you have the space for it, you might do well by getting several of them so that your chances of getting "aiptasia destroyers" is increased. If you have 'fuge you can also considering putting the pepps in there after they have fullfilled their task. They will spawn and provide planktonic food to your DT inhabitants!!!

    Hope this helps. . .

No not only because it is too high but nitrites will be spiking. Buy some aiptasia-x, Joe's juice, kalk paste, lemon juice or boil water. Inject the lemon juice or boiling water into the aiptasia, the others you just cover it.
