About a month ago we noticed some fry under a piece of rock in our tank which members here helped us identify as shrimp fry.
Not wanting to have too many shrimp we moved the rock thinking fish would eat the fry.
What has happened is the fry seem to have gathered in the cracks and crevices of the live rock and seem to be slowly getting bigger.
Is there any way to keep the population in check?
There is enough live rock in the tank capturing anything is impossible.

Are you certain they are peppermint fry? I had a shrimp population boom quite some years ago ar the onset of my tank.

    Someone was cooking yes! Sorry.
We think they are peppermint shrimp because the peppermint shrimp were going to the "nursery rock" every evening after the lights went out. They seem also to be guarding a new rock and we have a new young shrimp that we recent saw for the first time so they may have been at this a while before we noticed.
We are really very new to the hobby so these are assumptions based on what we are able to see.
    Fish:
    Yellow tang
    Flame angel
    Diamond goby
    Two clowns
    Black Combtooth blenny.
It's a 90 Gallon tank with a sump with refugium.
None of the fish seem to eat the fry.
What did you do about the shrimp?

All those fish eat shrimp larvae, but 1000000:1 you don't have peppermint shrimp larvae. I highly suspect you have mysid shrimp.
