For sure. I have two at the moment in a 55g and they are peaceful as. They dont harm coral, other inverts like stars or cleaners etc and I have never seen them even go near a fish.

I've banished both of mine to the sump. It was too hard for me to feed my LPS in the end. The peppermints would be there in an instant removing food from the coral. It was really awkward for me to get a container over some of my corals in a way that wouldn't rest on tissue. In the end it was easier to catch the shrimp and banish them to the great underneath. They are chilling now together with my LR rubble and my chaeto munching on whatever goes through the overflow. In the end i'd say get them with the caution that they may end up below decks.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !

    Almost same experience.

Mine tried to gut my LPS after I target feed and they ate all my maxi-mini anemones.

They were more than adequately feed, so that does not even fly. There could be food floating past them and they still went for the LPS.

If you do not need them error on the side of caution and do not get them.

Yep, heard the "were they true peppermint shrimp?" Yes they were, they were not camel shrimp.

Just google peppermint shrimp eating corals. There are even youtubes of them eating corals.

+2 I've had nothing but problems with peppermints, especially with the trying to feed my corals part, and them just out competing even fish for food. I'm glad to be shrimp free for now, had problems with every type I've tried.

It's a blast feeding mine as it walks around the top of the water upside down eating flakes. Then he does laps around the tank stomping on my zoos!

my peppermint would not eat coral, but would irritate the crap out of them when I would feed.

Same story here. My shrimp uses my Acan as a food bowl. I have to use my Kent spot feeder to ninja dual him everytime I feed my corals. Other than that, they are great!

Similar experience with Cleaner Shrimps. On the verge of other sumping him or moving to my softy tank. Meanwhile my CBS doesn't even move when its feeding time (only comes out at night). And I don't know if it is common, but my Blood Red almost never steals food from my LPS. He usually waits in the sand for some to fall. Either way, never again will I add a Cleaner or Peppermint to an LPS tank.
