So my peppermints are most definitely eating my acans. I saw one picking at a polyp last night and i thought he was just cleaning it out. NOT THE CASE AT ALL. I came home from work today and now you can see skeleton in the center of the polyps, so they are for sure eating them! I am starting to not like these little guys. I am deciding whether to give them away or just transfer the acans to my other tank that has no peppermints! Anyone had any trouble with their peppermints, and NO they are not CAMEL shrimp! I am going to move my corals right now. Little BASTARDS!:angry:

If possible I would get rid of the peps. I had a bad experience with one as well. They're only good for eating aptasia and once that's gone, I think it's best to remove them, but that's just me.

I had two that destroyed numerous corals of mine. And YES I am 100 percent sure that they were peppermints. In the end one killed the other and the remaining one died in transit to a different tank. Honestly, I wasnt too sad to see it go. The worst choice that I have made in any of my tanks was to add peppermint shrimp. I will never have a tank with them again.

yea i mean to tell you the truth i never really saw them eat any aptasia? I had a monster aptasia, that i aptasia x a couple times that just kept coming back! They wouldnt even go near it for about six months and then all of a sudden the anemone was completely gone??? Not sure if the pepps finally got him or what? Well anyway i moved the corals to my other tank. Is there anything special i should do for them while they are recuperating???

From what I have heard many peppermints wont go for aphasia. Even though that is why most people buy them. They are pretty hit or miss.

As for special treatment for your acan, I dose coral accel whenever I frag a coral to help it grow back faster. It seems to work very well for me. All Kent products have for that matter.
