I Use The Esv Bionic 2 Part Supps And It Adds Trace Elements As Well. I Tested Tonight And My Alk Went Up Tp 9dkh And My Ca Is At 450ppm. I May Have Been Remiss In Adding My Supps Over Xmas So I Am Going To Get Back On Track And Start Testing Regularly And Add My Supps When Needed. I Will Save Over The Next Month For A Mag Test.

My Lfs Here Only Tests For The Basics...no Ca, Alk, Or Mag. Stupid Lfs! I Have Never Had A Ph Problem So Far I Might Add. It's Always Stayed In Between 8.2 - 8.3 Whenever I Test (mind You I Have Never Tested In The Am Because I Don't Have Time In The Morn) I Just Bought A New Light So Needless To Say With Xmas And New Light The Funds Are A Little Low, So Saving For The Mag Test Is My Next Step. Thanks Everyone For All The Help. I'll Keep Ya Posted.

Not really Its just what you buy in a bottle less the water form Kent's or anyone else.. on average in say a 55 about two tbls a week is average but I like to test mine every few months and adjust accordingly over 1,000 and under 1,500 is where to keep it. Just simple old 1.99 Epsom salts like granny used to soak in for aches and pains hey I'm going to try this myself LOL

Whatcha Gonna Try The Epsom Salts In Ur Tank Or For The Aches And Pains? It's Actually Really Good For Your Skin, Taking A Bath In, Or Your Feet.

Do You Add Epsom Salts To Your Tank And How Did You Learn That Trick...it Won't Screw With Anything Will It?

I add it to my tanks always have When I and many others started keeping marines we had no books or Internet LOL and if we wanted it we had to make is . All we had was the elemental make up of saltwater from instant oceans and we learned what was being depleted and how to test for it.
Many of us started keeping some simpler soft corals and LPS corals back in the late 70's to mid 80's and we knew what elements where needed and what interacted with what in their different ways.. We just had to figure it out as we went along..
Then came the experts and took what many already knew But they put it in books nd made the money and got the sponsors LOLand thats when the cost started to go through the roof. Not much they can sell or tell me .. never owned a book by them either had a few signed and given to me..over the yrs :) Some of use to blend our own salts also.. I/O is easier :) But any element you put into your tank I can tell you where to get it by the pound or gallon almost for pennies :)

P.S I think I will try it for some severe aches :) where the metal meets the bone :)

thanks Tangster, you are just full of info. Yes it is unfortunate that people make money off of others hard work. I will try the epsom salts on my tank and yes take a hot bath with them they really help.

The Tangster is very wise! If you are adding the Epsons salts to a 55 gallon what doseage would you start with?
