Don't know if a normal occurance...but have recently noticed some small dark blemishes on my Perk's in Nano.

Maybe been there a long time, but just don't remember them being there before. --- quite small and on both fish.

Clowns eating well and happily doing what clowns do.

There was a thread about something similar. Guess some clowns get beauty marks? maybe thats how black clowns came to be............

Omard, there are 2 clowns at one of the fish stores near me that each have black spots on them. They are in the stores display (not for sale) tanks. The guy said they are healthy, but they just got black spots somehow - and it's not a disease. Maybe it has something to do with one of the types of coral in the tank.

When my maroon hosted my bubble coral I was kinda worried about the sting. Checked with LFS owner and he said if it gets stung it may give it black spots. Hasn't happened, but, a possibility.

    Very plausable possibility!

    Thx for sharing.

Will keep eye on and see what happens.

Really do think I would have noticed if the spots had been around for a long while. My fish get a lot of "watching time" ---:p
