All photos are with an iPod4. So, they aren't great.

This coral turned black on me. I had a pink birds nest do the same thing. Folks told me it was unrecoverable. The pink birds nest is recovering well, flesh regrowing over all the black. There's just small piece left now that still black. So I am hoping same for this one. You can kind of make out some new flesh on the plug itself on the right side.

Here's a FTS. So far, not sure if I like sand... Last time was crushed coral. I'm doing sand this time as an experiment to see if I like it. Next tank (the big one!) I'll have to make up my mind so I wanted to try both ways. So far still leaning towards CC on it. We'll see. But I absolutely think the rock scape is a billion times better now. Makes the tank look a lot bigger. Also digging my new bulbs ;D

Here's a shot, shows the stand I built with my step-dad.

And here's inside. That thing on top is my auto doser and the wires in upper right go to my tunze ATO (also what the bucket is for). I've started dosing Mg by dumping it directly in my ATO. Much easier.

Love the rock work. IME stay away from sugar sand in the DT and go with the reef special type sand.

This is what I got sand wise:

    MarcoRocks Aquarium Products - Sand

    I picked "fine".

Maybe I should have gone with course. It's just so plain looking to me. Snails seem to like it more though and I do like my snails...

The move went well. The auto doser saved my settings so it was pretty simple to maintain params from the get-go here. I setup the tank with new batch of water, let it run for a week. Then did my tests. Ca and Alk were close enough to be a 'new' baseline and I just setup the auto doser and smooth sailing since.

Did get low on Mg, but I've started dosing that into my ATO (due to an accidental Mg overdose several months ago).

Got a better camera (iPhone4s). Here are some shots:

The missing heads here are due to bubble algae. During the move, I really got up close with this; I hope I got it all!

This image kind of sucks, but it shows the 'flow' of the rockscape

These armor of god grow slow, but are really neat looking

Female O clown died 1/5/2012. Cause unknown. Was eating up to the end.

She was at least 5 yrs old but a million years old as far as I know...

(just making a note in my build thread)

Ordered a new bicolor blenny (lost it a couple months ago. No idea, I found it in my FL rock anemone one day) and a pearly jawfish (now that I have sand substrate). also an emerald crab for this bubble algae around my purple blasto colony and a peppermint shrimp for fun.

as well as a new bottle of food soak (H2O GVH) and Mg test.

    Should arrive Monday.

Just logging it for my reference here :)

Recovery is still going really well from the corals that took a nose dive during my Mg over dose. Thought I'd update/start recording pics to document it. Now that I have a camera that can take descent pics again (iPhone4 actually). These don't look good, but hopefully I can start showing progress in time.

The birdsnest is probably about 80% grown back now. Flesh completely wraps around the "base" again and up a bit. Just some up front still to go.

Anyway, here are pics from today
    [IMG]

This one, you can finally really see the flesh from the front of the tank. Has a long ways to go, but I want to see what it'll do.

*Note, iPod went to playing My life with the Thrill Kill Kult. I haven't listened to them in forever. I was writing "flesh" up there and music said "way of the flesh" at same time, was just weird
