    vivid can't catch my jawfish

I told them to hold the order, and not freak the fish out too much. No hurry.

vivid got my jawfish and it's arriving today ;D;D;D;D

I was going to go with the sea store but they have a $150 minimum order... not interested in smaller sales I guess so sticking with vivid bc i rarely buy large orders at once.

I'll get some pics up after he's in.

I got a FL anemone from John a while back (going to dig and find when that was).

I think it's splitting. I've never had an anemone split before, this is pretty cool.

I'm going to say this is a happy 'nem split.

Can you see it? the angle isn't the best bc this guy lives on the back of the rockwork nowadays. Bottom right of 'nem you can see new stalk like structure. I noticed yesterday it was in a really weird position, like it was shoving its "face" into the sand and then early this morning it was pointing up again but now has this extra stalk thing. I'm keeping an eye on it. This is pretty amazing.

Ya noticed the same thing. No way i can order $150 at once for a biocube. Too bad they have great looking livestock.

They really do. Prices are awesome too. They were really nice and tried real hard. Went so far as to offer to waive the min this one time. My total was like 109 with shipping or something. So I'm not bad mouthing at all here.

It's not 'this one time' for me though. It's every time. So I decided to stick it out w/vivid - who was also very helpful - bc I have an existing sort of "relationship" there.

    jawfish was DOA

vivid still wants you to acclimate, just in case but it was apparent. had that skin film stuff coming off and when I opened the back it stank very bad. I still acclimated, just in case, but no luck.

they credited my credit card, so that's cool. They were real cool about the whole thing.

    Oh well.

And that anemone, split even more, was very exciting. Then this morning, it looks like nothing ever happened... so... it either gave up, was never splitting, or it finished and the new one is in hiding... I guess I'll watch it but is kind of a let down.

On another note, my tank is starting to get a lot of coraline growth again (I cleaned the tank out when I moved in end of November). So my flip scraper is working like a champ!
