Pest treatment with Hydrogen peroxide in DT mixed reef

Hey guys, i have pest algae in my DT, here are the details:

Algae: GHA, Turf and Bubble
NO3, PO4 are near 0

Corals: monti cap, acro, pocili, zoas, mushrooms, leather and palys..

I want to treat algae straight in DT not removing the rock, as its fixed to the tank... the algae is growing straight from the rock, so i guess its the rocks that are leaching po4 or no3....

I dont wana treat rocks outside, coz i know its not possible..

Another thing is, that will it kill my cheato in fuge too??

Please tell me know in details.... as iv also read that years back, they use to use peroxide for raising O2 levels, here is the thread:

That much algae I'd say get some snails and figure out where your phosphate is come from... Tap water etc.. Otherwise your just masking the problem with the peroxide

Yeah I'd be curious what your clean up crew consists of. I know you said near 0 but as suggested I'd test your replacement water and see what's in it.

 

Im using GFO and GAC, ya, my skimmer got spoilt so using an old nano skimmer, so its under skimming... therz jus a pair of clown and i feed once a day with cyclopeeze flakes... i have cheato tht grows at a good rate.... im planning on dosing 6% H2o2 1ml everyday to my 25g total volume.... sometime target sometimes if i dont have time, ill jus add in tank....

 

cleanup crew are jus wild caught snails... i dont trust hermits and emrald crabs are not available in my country

I would be careful, make sure to monitor your ORP.

Do you know the source of the problem? You are just going to bandaid it situation vs fixing the situation.

 

ill first increase my GFO, then treat the 2 rocks that are removable out of water, then do something... also i have same algae growing on the crushed coral substrate... ill first start doing this, then do the drain method, also buy a better protein skimmer... instead of 5% wc, ill try doing 10% wc after treatment.....
