Yup...talked to Petco last week and they told me it will start Sunday. They were getting 40's and 55's in locally here in bulk and knew it was coming!

If you are just starting out, I would suggest the 55 if you can afford it. The reason being is that there simply more water volume. More water volume gives more room for error and will help from severe parameter swings. Your water will remain more stable and you will have more room to add fun stuff. ;D

but the tank itself looks so tall and not a whole lot of room for the rock to go in, could I maintaine a 40 breeder I like the way they look alot better and I plan on using like a 20 gallon as a sump which wpuld give me over 55 gallons.

    would that be better?

I would honestly say that a 40 breeder would be just fine with the sump. I maintain a 16 bow front myself. It all just depends on what you want and making sure you have the right equipment is all. I hope to one day upgrade to a bigger tank, but I have to convince my wife first which is no easy task. :)

get a 40, you will like the cube dimensions way more over a 55...and i would get a 29 gallon also for your sump..

Petco sells the tanks for $1 per gallon...you can get a 40 breeder for $40 instead of $110!!!

The 40b is by far the best selection, it's just like a much larger tank that's been hit by a shrink ray. The dimensions are awesome.

I've been waiting for this since I missed the last one. I need a 40B for my sump, but missed it by a day somehow. I refuse to pay $110 for a 40g out of principle, so, I've been waiting and using a 20H that I got for like $29 not on sale LOL.
