My 69 Sovereign has a couple of copper water pipes that appear to be split/cracked I am assuming from not draining properly in the winter
It seems like favorite product used to repair is the pex product.

Does anyone know the recommended size used to connect to the original plumbing?
Do they make an easy connector to connect the copper pipe to the pex tubing.

If it's 1/2" copper you will use 1/2" pex, and they do make adaptor pieces that solder onto the copper and then the pex crimps on to that.

    Good luck with the repair,

shark bite valves might help you out with this one...they are a little more costly but very easy and effective.

Shark bites are a bit more pricey but my bro is a plumber and wouldn't use anything else. I don't think you need a crimp tool and I am pretty sure its a one shot deal once slipped on.
