I would just leave it alone and let it do it's thing. Once the eggs have been laid I absolutely would not try to collect them. You will probably lose a thumb. Is there anything else in there with the shimp? Because if so then the babies will probably be eaten but they are strong, too. I have heard of people losing an entire tank of livestock due to fish that ate Pistol Shrimp babies and the babies punched their way out with their snapping fins...

well, i will for sure have a problem. If eggs are laid they will be eaten. I have a flame hawkfish who loves inverts; i know this cause she stares at them all the time. However she hasnt killed anything yet, even though i bought a bunch of hermits that are as small as one can get.

 

LMAO I'm really sorry. I can't keep doing this at the risk of you tearing your tank apart or something. Everything I have said in this thread, and I do mean EVERYTHING, has been complete BS. Sorry, I just wanted to see how far I could push this before someone who actually knew better chimed in. Apparently it ain't gonna happen. So rest easy, buddy.
