I never started a thread since I've been documenting my tank on my blog. The link is in my signature if you're interested.

I bought some new fish and a coral this weekend. Thanks to tatted4ever for the info on a LFS I never knew about. Local is kind of a leap since it is 45 minutes away but the drive was worth it.

The three fish I bought are:

A male anthias. I've never been good at names of people. Fish are no different. I wish I could remember what type this was. Please post if you know.

A male blue throat trigger. No pic since he is in hiding. Here is a pic from wetwebmedia.com. I've been assured they are reef safe and will likely not go after my cleaner shrimp. He may go after my hermits though. I only have a few and they're approaching old age any way.

A radiant wrasse. Not long after he was introduced he dove into the sand between some live rock leaving no trace except a plume of dust. I haven't seen him since so here is a picture from liveaquaria.com

Finally, a maze brain. I've been wanting one for a long time. It's about 3 inches across.

My first impression was Lyrtail Anthias, but I am starting to doubt myself. Definitely not Maldives.

    Edit:

That's what I get for doubting myself. Lyretail Anthias, Figi variety

I agree. The pictures look pretty close. The owner didn't call it a lyretail. He must have called in squampinnis. I remember a q being in the name. Thanks and k+

I've always wanted a trigger. I remember reading somewhere about a reef-safe trigger. I couldn't remember the name but when I saw it it looked familiar so I asked.

Thanks. I hope he'll eat. He kind of just looked at the food tonight. Seemed to go after it a little but I don't think he ate any. I fed only an hour or two after introducing him so that is to be expected.

Oh I'm sure he'll be fine - he looks really healthy! You should post more pictures of him. ;D;D

I'll be waiting for an update on how he's doing bc I plan to get one for my 90.
