I'll definitely give you an update.

I wanted more but the owner recommended against it. Not enough space in mine for a sufficient school. The males apparently beat up the females so you need a lot of them. If you ask me I think they're taking out their anger of being male and pink on the females.

Haha no, they know they are beautiful! They love being pink.

Yeah, I think I'll stick with just one too because I don't want a big school and take up all that space.

    Thanks.

They are indeed really beautiful fish. The owner felt that these were one of the easiest to care for. He said he only feeds once every other day. I've read other anthias need to eat twice a day. I need to restrict feeding to keep nitrates low so I only feed every other day.

I like pink squares in looks, but they get huge for anthias. 8 inches in some cases. Thats a lot of fish.

As for feeding. I would feed everyday, multiple times in very small increments to entice him to eat. Once you have him eating, then you can dial the food back.

My LFS guy did tell me that anthias require frequent feedings in comparison to other fish.

The lyretail anthias are easier to adapt to the aquarium then the pink square. The lyretail is a good choice. I have a 265 so the pink square size is not a big deal.

Is it true they don't like bright light? Or will they adjust?

They are ok with light as long as you give them places that they can get out of it for a while. They also like a lot of current.
