PH is at 7.93

well you dont have any of the typical problems. i dont think this is related to your lights as far as i can tell, i may have to do with macro or trace elements. whats magnesium like?

and what the name of the buffer you are using

 

my mg was at 1080 and i use the kent pro buffer liquid. my cal was at like 620 i know its high and my alk was at 3.4

 

Your Mg needs to be around 1350 to 1400. I would not panic on pH. Mine in the middle of winter gets around 7.8 because of the house being shut up and no fresh oxygen.

 

when i bring my mg up will my ph rise

 

Your getting way too far caught up on pH levels. It will change all day long. Are you check with a calibrated probe or a color test kit.

just did it last night for the first time

 

If it was me I wouldn't get too up tite about it. 7.9 is not low. Open a window and it will go up
