    If you are getting a meter to monitor the pH in your tank, make sure you do not panic at the pH level you are at. As long as your alk is good, and your pH is between 7.8 and 8.5, do not do anything major to try and fix the problem.... It is more important that the pH is stable, not that it is at 8.2 to 8.4.

    I agree also. If everything is healthy in the tank, then you are doing just fine

    I havn't started my tank yet. Stil trying to get all the supplies I need.
    I just figured it was cheaper in the long run to get a meter than continuously buying test strips.

    No, I just rinse it off, put the cap back on and put it in my closet.


    Test Strips are trash. Do not use test strips for any of your tests. They are only as accurate as guessing. Use liquid drop tests. (or meters)
