My Ph probe from 3reef (courtesy of saltycritter.com) came in the mail today! I was all kinds of excited to get it setup...that is until I read the instructions. Apparently, I need calibration fluid in both ph 7 and ph 10. I've been to 3 LFS in the area and nobody carries any. Does anybody here know where to find some online?

Thanks Gresh! I wish I would have known that I needed the stuff, I would have ordered it with the probe to save myself the $7 in shipping! ;)

No problem, I fell into the same boat my first PH meter purchase. Sucks not being able to use something you have in hand. Like having a computer, but missing the monitor cable :D

Got the calibration fluid this morning! Thanks for the quick service shawnz28!

Well, it's all calibrated and setup. Wouldn't you know it, the thing started beeping at me the instant it hit the water! I added some buffer and adjusted the low threshold and it is nice and quiet now. I'll keep everybody posted as I get used to the thing and get it dialed in...pics to come!

Thanks 3reef and saltycritter.com! You guys rock!!!

Hrmm, right at this moment, it's reading 8.09. I'll see how it looks when the lights are back on then buffer again tomorrow night if need be.

I'm using Kent's Superbuffer which is supposed to keep the Ph at 8.3, granted it can take several hours for the Ph to normalize. We'll see tomorrow whats really going on!
