    is a High Level PH test kit the same as a Alkaline test Kit???

    pH and alkalinity are along the same avenues, but they are different. While pH is is a reflection of how acidic or basic water is; alkalinity is an indicator of how resistant water is to becoming acidic. Put another way; the higher the alkalinity of water, the more acid can be added before a change in pH becomes apparent.

    A high level pH kit tests in the pH range towards alkaline. (It can not be used to test the pH on very acidic water with a pH of 2, 3, 4 or thereabouts. An alkalinity test only shows a water's alkalinity, not its pH.
